Return
This page explains how a return works in practice. Legally binding is the withdrawal policy — in case of doubt, what it says applies.
You have a whole month
As a consumer you may withdraw from your order within one month of receiving the goods, without giving reasons. That is two weeks more than the law requires — with collector's items, we think you should be able to look in peace. We don't need a reason, and you don't have to justify anything.
How it works
- Declare the withdrawal — quickest via the Withdraw from contract button at the bottom of the footer. You'll immediately get a confirmation with date and time. If you prefer, email widerruf@gc-games.de or use the model withdrawal form for printing.
- You'll receive a confirmation from us along with the return address.
- Send the goods back within 14 days of your declaration. Pack them safely — ideally the way they arrived.
- We refund the purchase price including the original shipping costs, using the same payment method you paid with.
Who pays for the return
In case of a withdrawal you bear the direct cost of returning the goods. For a single game that is usually under two euros.
It is different when something is wrong with the goods — more on that below.
If something isn't right
If an item arrives damaged, doesn't work as described, or the stated condition doesn't match: just get in touch. That is not a withdrawal but a warranty case — the statutory two years apply, and we pay for the return.
Photos help us sort it out quickly.
Sealed games
For sealed audio and video recordings as well as computer software, the right of withdrawal expires once the seal has been removed. As long as the seal is intact you can withdraw as normal.
Loss of value
You may inspect the goods the way you could in a shop. You only have to compensate for a loss in value if it results from handling that was not necessary for that inspection.
How long does the refund take
At the latest 14 days after we receive your withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until the goods have reached us or you have provided proof of dispatch — whichever comes first. In practice it is usually faster.
